Eat Sleep Ride is a Scottish charity based in rural East Berwickshire, transforming a former 24-acre landfill into a thriving equine, wellbeing, and learning hub. Our mission is to ensure no child, young person, or family is excluded from transformative experiences with animals, nature, and community due to income, postcode, or circumstance. We deliver equine-assisted learning, accredited youth training, outdoor education, and wellbeing programmes for children, young people, and families facing barriers such as poverty, disability, neurodivergence, trauma, caring responsibilities, and rural isolation. Our programmes are trauma-informed, person-centred, and co-designed with young people to ensure their voices and experiences shape delivery. Each year we support around 90 young people directly through weekly or monthly programmes, and welcome 200+ more through community events, volunteering, and seasonal activities. Over 75% of our participants are neurodivergent, over 65% are from low-income households, and many are care-experienced, young carers, or involved in the justice system. Alongside children and young people, we also support families, recognising that intergenerational wellbeing and inclusion are vital for long-term change. Our activities include:Equine-assisted learning and riding tuition – for confidence, skills, and wellbeing.Accredited programmes – including ABRS Responsible Groom awards, Youth Achievement Awards, and progression into SVQs.Alternative education placements – for young people disengaged from mainstream schooling.Volunteer and peer mentoring pathways – engaging local people of all ages in purposeful activity.Community and family events – pony days, open days, nature workshops, and seasonal celebrations.Environmental action – sensory garden, food-growing projects, pollinator workshops, and biofuel innovation. Our off-grid site reflects our commitment to sustainability. Powered by solar, it includes stables, a riding arena, yurts for learning, a sensory garden, therapy space, campfire areas, woodland, and two wildlife ponds. These spaces are not just facilities — they are learning tools that help participants reconnect with nature, experience belonging, and develop resilience. We also contribute to the local economy. Eat Sleep Ride employs and trains 10+ local people each year, engages over 20 volunteers, and works with 23 local suppliers — from hay and feed providers to tradespeople and contractors. We are developing revenue-generating services, including riding lessons, leadership retreats (Herd Dynamics), vouchers, parties, and travel-trade packages, which strengthen our financial sustainability and reduce reliance on grant funding. The impact of our work is tangible: improved mental health, reduced self-harm and crisis interventions, increased confidence, qualifications gained, and young people progressing into education, volunteering, or employment. Independent evaluation has confirmed that timely access to our programmes prevents young people and families from slipping through the net of overstretched statutory services.Eat Sleep Ride aligns with SCVO’s focus on inclusion, wellbeing, and community resilience. We work with some of the most disadvantaged groups in rural Scotland, creating safe, dignified, and sustainable pathways for growth and connection.

Localgiving Foundation is a UK wide membership based organisation with two main focuses. Firstly, we are an online fundraising platform that specialised in helping small community charitable organisations fundraise online. We provide training around crowdfunding, including free webinars and have just launched an AI grant tool to enable members to plan projects, search for grants and complete a first draft application. Secondly, we are a grant distributor. This includes partnerships with energy providers such as National Grid, who we have distributed 14 grant rounds for to date. We are currently working with SP Energy Networks to distribute grants across four regions of Scotland. A pilot of the grant programme launches in November 2025. We have worked with SCVO, the four TSIs in those regions and others such as Scottish Rural Network and Sported, to refine grant themes and understand local needs. We are keen to book an event and exhibition space at The Gathering to share more about these grants, our learnings and also online fundraising advice in general.

Dementia Friendly Prestwick is a local charity which supports the good health and wellbeing of people living with a diagnosis of dementia, and their families and carers. We started in 2016, and our main activity is running a social club - Prestwick Meeting Centre - three days per week from 10.30am-3pm. The Meeting Centre provides a welcoming, safe and hospitable environment to support those living with dementia and includes food, friendship, peer support and stimulating activities including arts and crafts, dancing, music, quizzes, walking, and yoga. It's a lot of fun, it keeps people engaged with their communities, and we're helping to keep people living independently longer at home. The Meeting Centre runs with four local part time staff supported by 10-12 local volunteers. We are often described as a "life line" by our members (the people who use our club), as we provide respite to unpaid carers, and we care for the social, nutritional and physical health of our members. We are also engaged with the local authority and Health and Social Care Partnership to work towards making our wider community more accessible and "dementia friendly".

The Super Power Agency is a literacy charity based in Edinburgh. Our mission is to help young people in Scotland write their story. Our writing programmes allow young people to discover their confidence and imagination, and in turn aim to increase literacy rates in Scotland. Our mission is to improve self-esteem and aspiration via the most fundamental superpower – the ability to write. The Super Power Agency is not just a literacy charity (although we do that, of course). It's a powerful and mysterious entity that opens up portals in the space-time continuum to galaxies unknown! We started our mission in 2016 to reach schools where our help was most needed. Since then, we have published over 59 books of student writing. And engaged an elite crew of volunteers, who have supported a new generation of creative kids to take control of their own story. Working in some of Scotland’s most disadvantaged and under-resourced areas, we aim to make learning fun. Our workshops encourage and empower young people to put pen to paper, build their writing skills, and express themselves with confidence. In doing so, we hope no young person in Scotland will leave school without the confidence to write.

We put on 3x play sessions every week, catering to 50 children. We take families and children out on days away, excursions and we have different themed parties for the children i.e.- Easter, Halloween and Christmas, we don't believe children should miss out due to their disabilities. We cater to the children's needs and make it as accessible and as manageable for the children as much as possible. We support parents and carers, we are currently working on Good Wellbeing Practices for our parents/carers. We have put on Wellbeing Wednesday classes, bringing in different agencies, working on good self care, integrating new healthy practices, remembering to "care for the adult who cares for the children" as this is often forgotten and put to the bottom of parents/carers list. We help parents socialise and build up new friendships. We take our parents/carers out on Cold water therapy dips each Thursday. We have taken our families to places like the Polar Express for Christmas, creating magical memories together surrounded by families who are experiencing the same journey and there to support each other. We support parents/carers in many areas- help and support with benefits signposting onto other agencies and health professionals sharing lived experiences, attending various health appointments to give emotional support, we have been the lifeline for a lot of local families when they've felt they've needed extra support.
